A Truly Community Minded Farmers Market.
What makes the farmers market such a special place is that you’re actually creating community around food. – Bryant Terry: eco-chef, food justice activist, and author.
The Launch Program creates vocational & community supports programs for individuals with cognitive disabilities. It builds vocational skills and healthy lifestyles by teaching how to plant, weed, water, harvest, and sell healthy produce and other products that are locally grown and sold at various farmers markets in the South Shore area. For more information contact Laurel Hickey at the local branch of the Launch South Shore Support Services Program, 1 Smith Place, Cohasset.
In addition to participating in the CFM Booster Club, Launch members assist vendors with setup and breakdown during the Market Season
Senior Citizen Rest Area and Watering Hole: Thanks to Jack Delorenzo seniors have a special place in the shade to sit, sip, talk and enjoy an afternoon at the CFM.
Non-Profit Community Groups such as the Cohasset Conservation Trust, CMI Rowing Club, Cohasset Cheerleaders, Cohasset Historical Society and the Cohasset Food Pantry have all taken their place at the Friends Table.
